School Council
Through listening to their peers and sharing their ideas, the School Council discuss the qualities of our school and suggest improvements so that we can make positive changes.
Together, we think about teaching and learning, making progress, having fun, and of course, our School Values and how important these are in all aspects of school life.
The School Council has an important role within our school, as they work in collaboration with other pupils, staff and governors, helping to make decisions about the future of Ashmead and providing a vital part of the 'Pupil Voice'

Deputy Head Girl
Hi, I'm Alayna and I'm in Year 6 and I would like to tell you how I got Deputy Head Girl. At the start of the year, I volunteered for Head Girl. I presented my presentation in front of my whole class and we did a secret vote. The teachers in the Year 5/6 team had a team meeting and they thought I was a good person for the role. I make sure I respect my teachers and peers and make everyone feel safe at school so, if you have any worries at Ashmead make sure to let me know and I can help you solve your problems. -

Sports CaptainAmelie
Sports Captain
Hi, I'm Amelie and I am one of the Eagles sports captains. I have been part of this school ever since the start of Nursery. I am very proud to represent my school by doing something I love…sports!
Outside of school, I play football as a goalkeeper for three clubs (Stoke Mandeville F.C U12 girls, Aylesbury Athletic F.C. and Watford F.C Emergent Talent Centre U11 girls). Football is very important to me because I can work hard and show my talent. My favourite football team is Chelsea F.C. which is why my favourite colour is blue.
Football has taught me a great deal, including discipline, teamwork and aspiration. Every day I try to inspire others and aim to encourage them to get out of their comfort zone a little bit. I always follow the school values (CREATE) to be a good role model for others. One day, I would like to either become a professional goalkeeper that plays for the lionesses or physiotherapist for a sports team.
School is another place where I can relax and enjoy. I enjoy school because I make friends and learn new things. My favourite subjects are P.E, Maths and Reading, but I enjoy all subjects.
I am honoured to serve as a sports captain, as witnessing the enjoyment and happiness that sport brings to others is truly rewarding and inspires me as well.
