Ashmead School is a Foundation School. Buckinghamshire Council remains a key partner, providing various essential services, including supporting our admission processes. Ashmead School admits up to 90 children into Reception each September, following their fourth birthday. Many of these children have previously attended our Nursery, which also accommodates 90 children. Children can begin at the Nursery in the term after their third birthday, and we also have a limited number of places available for funded two year olds.
Once parents are notified that their child has been awarded a place at the school and have accepted it, both parents and children are invited to an introductory meeting with the Head Teacher and Early Years staff. This meeting, held in the term before entry, provides an opportunity for introductions, sharing information, and familiarizing with the department. It is an important step in our partnership with families to ensure children are happy and well cared for during their time with us.
Before starting, you will be required to complete a registration pack, which provides vital information about your child. It is crucial that the school is updated on any changes to your child's details, medical conditions, or circumstances that may affect them.
