Our school's approach to supporting pupils with SEND

At Ashmead School, we believe that every pupil has an entitlement to achieve their full potential. High quality teaching and a challenging curriculum is vital; however for some children there are occasions during their school life when additional support may be needed to help them to achieve their targets.

All pupils, including those with a special educational need or disability (SEND) have the right to be fully involved in all that the school offers.

Concerned about Speech and Language?

We are able to screen children in school with the Speech and Language Link programmes, then put into place support as appropriate. Here is a parent portal with more information and support.

CAMHS BUCKS

Bucks CAMHS are specialist mental health services for children and young people provided by the NHS. The CAMHS website has been designed by young people to give helpful information and advice around emotional wellbeing. If you have concerns about your child's social, emotional and mental health wellbeing, you can make a referral or chat to the school to make a referral.

Autism Toolbox

The Autism Toolbox brings together advice, local support, services and resources for parents and carers of autistic children.

Bucks SENDIAS

We provide free, confidential, impartial information, advice and support on all matters relating to special educational needs and disability for children and young people aged 0 to 25 and their parents/carers.

The Max Card is the UK’s leading discount card for foster families and families of children with additional needs. Families can use their Max Card at venues across the UK to get free or discounted admission.
